At States… Kennedy Catholic’s… Kendzor… Fourth… Public… Fifth… Federation

Kennedy Catholic’s Jessica Kendzor earned a fourth place medal in the public school division and a fifth place medal in the Federation as part of the Section 1 distance medley relay. The relay consists of four runners from different schools running legs of 600, 300, 1,000 and 1,600 meters. Kendzor, a junior, ran the 1000-meter leg in 3:06. The Section 1 squad finished with an overall time of 10:42.74.

Running as the 1000-Meter leg, Kendzor was “boxed in” by several opponents during the race, which concerned Kennedy coach Sister Janet Meehan. Luckily, she was able to deftly slip out of the logjam and finish strong.
