Having already brought home three league titles this year, Kennedy Catholic runners continued bringing home the hardware at the Westchester County Championships on Feb. 1 at the Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
Jesse Aprile ’10 got things started with a third-place finish in the Class B, 55-meter dash.
As one would expect by now, Jessica Kendzor ’10 and Breeda Mannion ’10 both medaled, with Kendzor taking home top honors in the 1,000-meter run for Class B schools and second in the Class B, 300-meter dash. Not to be outdone, her good friend Mannion finished third in the 1,500-meter run.
A number of other Gaels, include Theresa Tolan ’09 and Liam Perry, also set personal bests. Congratulations to all our Kennedy Catholic harriers. Don’t forget about the team dinner on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Lakeview Room.
